Richard Forbus
Mr. Richard Forbus is the Vice President of Program Development with NCCHC. He has over 30 years of experience in corrections, retiring as a Corrections Captain after 25 years of service in one of the largest NCCHC accredited county jail systems in the country. In his last assignment, he was responsible for operations, policy and procedure, training, programs, reentry, accreditation, and previously served as the sheriff-appointed jail commander. He is a Marine Corps veteran who served a Military Police Corrections Specialist. In his role at NCCHC, he assists health care and correctional leaders across the country, collaborating to identify solutions to the challenge of providing quality correctional health care services within their facilities. He has a Master of Business Administration in Health Care Management from Columbia Southern University and is a CCHP.
