Improving Healthcare In Prisons
Drawing on decades of multidisciplinary experience, NCCHC Resources is your correctional health partner, providing customized insights and guidance that equip your facility to provide constitutionally appropriate quality correctional health care.
Mission: To provide comprehensive customized consulting and technical assistance services that help to elevate the quality of correctional health care.
HISTORY
Since that time, NCCHC’s accomplishments have included the pioneering Standards for Health Services, which outline guidelines for the management of correctional health services systems, mental health, and opioid treatment programs; a variety of national accreditation and professional certification programs; and a wide array of educational programming, publications, national conferences, and networking opportunities.
In 2014, NCCHC Resources was created to meet the sharply increasing demand for high-quality consulting, technical assistance, and related support services for correctional health care providers.
We support the National Commission on Correctional Health Care’s mission to improve the quality of health care in prisons, jails, and juvenile confinement facilities nationwide.

NCCHC Resources is the consulting arm of the National Commission on Correctional Health Care
NCCHC establishes standards for health services in correctional facilities, operates a voluntary accreditation program for institutions that meet those standards, produces resource publications, conducts educational conferences and offers certification for correctional health professionals. NCCHC is supported by the major national organizations representing the fields of health, mental health, law and corrections. Each supporting organization has named a liaison to the NCCHC board of directors to create a robust, multidisciplinary governing structure that reflects the complexities of correctional health care.
