Doris Battle

MS, RN, CCHP

Ms. Battle is a senior correctional health professional with extensive nursing experience, much of it in management. She served as the Director of Nursing for the clinic at U.S. Air Force Base Rhein-Main in Germany and as the senior nurse executive for the Department of Medicine and Emergency Department at Andrews Air Force Base. She has worked as the health services administrator for the City of Newport News and the Hampton County Sheriff’s Office in Virginia, where she was responsible for coordinating medical care, managing staff, and developing and implementing policies and procedures that met NCCHC Standards.

Ms. Battle is the Quality Assurance and Training Manager for MEDIKO Correctional Health Care, where she is responsible for developing comprehensive, objective measures to analyze outcomes to improve patient care and providing training to nursing staff on quality improvement and nursing documentation. Ms. Battle is also a lead surveyor for NCCHC’s accreditation program.
